The site is written and operated by a data engineer, not a clinician — that is stated plainly on the author page — and it works from published labels and published literature, not from a lab bench.

Skin is individual. A concentration that is well tolerated by most people can irritate, sensitise, or trigger a reaction in you. Actives interact with prescription treatments. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, rosacea, eczema, and existing dermatological conditions all change what is appropriate. Patch test, introduce one active at a time, and talk to a professional before acting on anything you read here — particularly around retinoids, high-percentage acids, and anything you are considering while pregnant.
