Four things worth emailing about
- Report a data error or a stale price
This is the one we most want to hear about. Formulas get reformulated, brands change what they disclose, and a price that was API-verified last month can be wrong today. A stale number is a real problem for a site whose entire purpose is being checkable. Include the page URL and what the label or the listing actually says. Fixes are published to the corrections log.
- Challenge a verdict or the methodology
How a dupe match score is computed, why price-per-gram-of-active is the ranking metric, and what counts as a disclosed percentage are all written out in full on the about page. If you think a judgement call is wrong, say so — disagreements about method are welcome, and we will tell you plainly if you have changed our mind.
- Licensing, data and press
The Actives Index and the Disclosure Scorecard are published as open CSV and JSON. For bulk or commercial use of the underlying dataset, or for figures and background for an article, email us and say what you need.
- Privacy requests
Access, correction, deletion or objection requests under GDPR, UK GDPR or the CCPA. Put "privacy" in the subject line. What we hold and why is set out in the privacy policy.

What we will and won't do
Display advertising on this site is sold programmatically through third-party networks, not directly by us. We do not accept payment to change a verdict, add a product to a ranking, or move a product up one. We decline sponsored-content and paid-link requests, and we do not publish guest posts. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every page that carries them — see the affiliate disclosure.
Brands are welcome to write in with a correction to their own product's data, and that correction will be treated exactly like anyone else's: verified against the published label before anything changes.
03 / Limits
What we can't help with
This site publishes ingredient information, not medical advice, and we can't answer questions about your own skin, a reaction you are having, a prescription, or whether a product is safe for you specifically. Those need a dermatologist or a pharmacist who can actually look at you. If you are having a bad reaction to a product, stop using it and speak to a clinician.
